SR Tang Shin Wee holds a BSC (Hons) Property Management from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor. He is a Registered Valuer, a Registered Estate Agent, and a Registered Property Manager and member of The Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers Malaysia.

He is a committee member of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM, Johor branch), a member of The Association of Valuers, Property Managers, Estate Agents and Property Consultants in the Private Sector Malaysia (PEPS) and a Member of Malaysian Institute of Professional Property Managers (MIPPM).

His forte also include real estate valuation involving property portfolios located in Johor Bahru, retail and corporate real estate for various purposes such as establishment of Public Listed Company (IPO), submission to Securities Commission (SC) Malaysia and Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX).
